Brian P. Murphy is an associate in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm's Corporate Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Murphy's practice focuses on public and private company mergers and acquisitions, as well as the representation of private equity firms, hedge funds and their portfolio companies in investment, acquisition and restructuring transactions. Mr. Murphy’s practice also includes the general representation of companies with regard to corporate governance and other corporate advice.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Murphy graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as an editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform. Mr. Murphy received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to law school, he worked for the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice.
