Arnold B. Peinado, III

Arnold Peinado is a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Securities Group and Transportation and Space Finance team.  He joined the firm as an associate in 1982, and has been a partner at Milbank since 1991. 

Primary Focus & Experience

Mr. Peinado has extensive experience in domestic and international offerings of various types of securities, including high yield debt, investment grade notes and bonds, and common and preferred stock. These offerings have included registered initial public offerings, follow on primary and secondary offerings and Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings coupled with registration rights. Mr. Peinado also has significant experience in aircraft finance matters, focusing on the securities side of enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETC) offerings, aircraft and engine portfolio securitizations, aircraft secured term loan and bond financings, and export credit agency (ECA) capital markets financings.

Recent representations include:

• offerings of high yield and investment grade debt securities in the US and international capital markets, including participating in debt offerings by Intelsat and Nabors Industries
• leveraged finance transactions and commitment proposals for financial institutions such as Barclays Capital and Goldman Sachs

• offerings of secured notes and pass through securities, including participating in offerings involving United Air Lines, Continental Airlines , US Airways and Southwest Airlines

Recognition & Accomplishments

Mr. Peinado has for many years advised, and is a member of the board of directors of, the Urban Justice Center, a non-profit organization committed to providing legal services to and advocacy for the disadvantaged in New York.

Mr. Peinado is a member of the American and New York State Bar Associations as well as the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
